I am Jacqui,
I am a mum to two neurodiverse young adults, a community midwife, acupuncture, hypnobithing and birth reflections practitioner. and most recently a NeuroNatal Ambassador. I have been a mum for nearly 23 years, a midwife for almost 12 years, a hypnobirthing practitioner for 13 years, an acupuncture practitioner for 5 years and joined my trusts birth reflections team about a year ago.
I am almost certainly AuDHD but there is no options for diagnosis in Scotland at present. My kids were 13 and 16 when diagnosed. We have faced many challenges as a family trying to gain access and support in education and healthcare. Formal education was abandoned early. Healthcare access is still challenging and frustrating in equal measure.
I am also an artist and animal lover, current obsession is sea turtles after a life altering snorkelling experience with them in Mexico while celebrating my 20th wedding anniversary.
I look forward to getting to know you all while creating a network of like minded individuals determined to tear the system down and rebuild it fit for purpose and inclusivity.
